Waste-to-Energy Facility Tours - Interested in knowing what happens to our garbage? Walk-in groups of 10 or fewer are at 10 a.m. and 1 p.m. Group tours for more than 10, individuals with special needs, and classrooms can be arranged by calling ahead. Holocaust Observance Ceremony - Join the Temple Beth Shalom for Yom HaShoah “Honoring the Holocaust Educators.” The keynote speaker is John Roth, Founding Director of the Center for the Study of the Holocaust, Genocide, and Human Rights at Claremont McKenna College. There will also be a reading of winning high school and middle school entries in the Eva Lassman Memorial Creative Writing Contest, a children’s candle processional and lighting ceremony, along with music performed by the Spokane Youth Symphony and soloist Dan Baumgarten. 7 p.m. Temple Beth Shalom, 1322 E. 30th Ave. (509) 536-7745.

Historic Campbell House - Tours feature household life from 1898-1924. Visitors discover business challenges and household employees’ stories.
