Donald, Jr.
Chief James D. Soudt, Jr. passed away at his home with his family around him on July 28, 2012, one week and one day before his 75th birthday.
He joined the United States Coast Guard in 1954 and retired in 1974.
He worked several lifeboat stations on the Oregon Coast, and on the Northwind Ice Breaker from 1960-1962, and did two tours in Vietnam on the Basswood, a buoy tender in Guam.
James is survived by his loving wife, Rhae and his loving children, Barbara Li’l-Jon, Joyce Russell, Vivian Stoudt, and James D. Stoudt III; and by his loving grandchildren, Dallas Stoudt, Tia Richmond, Darrell Russell, and James D. Stoudt IV.
He is also survived by his mother, Myra Mueller, three half sisters, one half brother, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Services for Mr. James D. Stoudt, Jr., will begin with a visitation from 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday and Thursday, August 1st and 2nd, 2012 at the Danekas Funeral Chapel in Colville.
The graveside service will follow at 1:00 p.m., Friday, August 3, 2012 at the Mountain View Park Cemetery in Colville.
