Proud to vote for Riccelli
As a retired Spokane businessman and Vietnam veteran, I can attest that true character is who you are when no one is looking.
When I suffered a stroke years back (that continues to impact my health, leaving me unable to work), I depended on the Veterans Administration disability program to protect me. The program is part of this nation’s promise to its veterans.
However, in the process of applying for VA disability I struggled to gain approval. The situation left me without an income, feeling frustrated and disappointed. This nation’s promise felt like an empty one.
When I contacted U.S. Sen. Maria Cantwell’s office in desperation, Marcus Riccelli answered. He listened to my situation and said he would try to help. Marcus unraveled the red tape, and found the correct path toward getting my disability pension. That small act of kindness made a big difference. It should be noted that Marcus stood up for me when no one was looking. Now that Marcus Riccelli is running for state representative, I am proud to cast my vote for him. We need leaders that view public service as a high honor. Marcus Riccelli is a man of integrity who understands what that means.
