Obituary: Jemison, Frederick “Rick”

Age 56

JEMISON, Frederick “Rick” Passed away after a tragic accident in the family home on December 19, 2012.

Rick was born in Kellogg, Idaho on October 5, 1956 to Janice Camm and Charles Jemison.

The oldest of five boys, he spent his childhood playing baseball, fishing and hunting.

He graduated from Kellogg High School in 1974 and shortly after began his career with Louisiana Pacific.

Rick worked at various positions within the sawmill before he became Green End Superintendent at Post Falls and Plant Manager at the Chilco/Sandpoint mills.

He was transferred to Deer Lodge, Montana where he ended his career with LP.

Rick has been the Plant Manager for Bluebird Recycling in Coeur d’ Alene since 2003.

On November 25, 1978, Rick married Joni Barnett in Kellogg, Idaho.

The couple moved to Hauser Lake in 1983 where they have continued to live.

Rick was a board member on the Hauser Lake Water Association.

He was an avid outdoorsman he loved hunting, fishing, huckleberry picking, mushrooming, rock gathering and most of all cutting firewood.

He was a collector of coins and cars and many other collectables.

He always knew the value of anything.

He was a Husband, Father, Brother, Uncle, Great-uncle, Great-great-uncle and newly Grandpa.

He was a good friend to more people than you can count.

He was a family man who cherished his wife his children.

He was so proud of his children and their accomplishments.

Every kid that was lucky enough to be around him knew that they were cherished by him.

He led his family through the good times and the bad.

He will be deeply missed.

We know that his spirit is close by, leading us now and watching over his family.

He is survived by his wife Joni Jemison; daughter Jennifer Jemison (Dustin Jurcevich); son John Jemison; his first new granddaughter Violet; his brother Jim George (Julie George), brother Ed Johnson (Brenda Johnson), brother Scott Johnson, brother Geoff Johnson, an Uncle, an Aunt, several cousins, nieces and nephews.

Services will be held at ENGLISH FUNERAL HOME in POST FALLS, IDAHO at 1:00 pm on Saturday December 29th.
