(Dasinger) “Toni”
Antonette (Toni) Dasinger Harmon passed away on December 30, 2011 in Port Townsend Washington after a courageous battle with cancer.
Her husband Dick Harmon was by her side as he had been for 44 years.
Toni was born in Glendive Montana on May 23, 1942.
She moved to Bozeman Montana with her family Tony (Das) and Hazelle Dasinger, her brother Jim and sister Peggy in 1952.
She attended Bozeman schools until 1960.
She attended Kinnman Business College in Spokane Washington where she studied to be a bookkeeper, the profession in which she worked for many years.
Toni was a very strong passionate person.
She loved to engage friends, family and strangers in conversations about religion, music, politics, people and life in general.
If someone disagreed with her she did not get angry but would hold her ground.
She definitely left an impact on all she met.
Toni always championed the underdog and was very generous when it came to helping those in need.
As a young woman Toni took singing lessons and had a beautiful voice.
Her favorite kind of music was Country and Western.
The stories told in this music spoke to her.
Toni lived in Washington State for most of her adult life.
Nearly twenty years in Spokane, Port Ludlow and finally Port Townsend.
Toni is survived by her husband Dick, daughter Laurie Burchell (Roger), son Bill Harmon, brother Jim Dasinger (Liz), sister Peggy Dasinger Graham (Bob), brother-in law Dale Harmon (Linda).
Grandchildren Patrick and Theresa Burchell, Danielle, Derek, and Natalie Harmon.
Nieces Linda, Theresa, Stephanie, Melissa and Sarah.
Nephews Michael, Mark and Matt.
She was preceded in death by her parents and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
Toni’s cremation has occurred and her remains will be scattered on Puget Sound, date to be determined.
A celebration of her life will occur at that time.
