Obituary: Juhre, Robert “Bob”
Age 82
In Loving Memory of
JUHRE, Robert “Bob”
Bob entered into life in Buffalo, NY on March 31st 1929 and entered into rest on January 31, 2012 at home in Spokane, WA.
Although Bob had a successful career he was mostly defined by his passion for adventure, travel, gardening, writing and re-telling stories of their adventures.
Bob’s many great adventures included crossing the Sahara desert in their VW camper, traveling Antarctica on a Russian research ship and back packing the other six continents.
In Bob’s final communication to his friends and family he informed us he had stage 4 lung and bone cancer.
He explained the trip they had planned was being re-routed to a new unknown destination.
Bob wanted to reiterate his love for his wife Elaine, in his words “we have loved well, loved mightily and regret little.
“
Also, in Bob’s last communication tagged New Destination he concluded with “when the bell finally gongs, we will be in touch.
“
We will await your sign that you have arrived at your new destination and anxiously await one of your famous stories!
We Love you Bob!
