Doug was a devoted deacon and member of St. Matthews Institutional Baptist Church knowing full and well the forgiveness and love of Jesus.
He served his loving church family, starting in 2001 with his wife, Rev Kay S. Perry.
He had attended many colleges, meeting his wife at Eastern Washington University in the Chi Alfa ministry.
He devoted his life to her on his mother’s birthday, June 27th, 1997.
Doug worked at a cannery as a young man before kidney renal disease entered his life, which posed many challenges that he overcame, being an independent business owner most of his life.
He is survived by his wife, his mother, Helen Jeannine Perry, his brothers, Donald Perry, Dean Perry and wife.
He was preceded in death by his father, Ramon Westley Perry.
His memorial service will be at the church 2815 W Sunset Blvd at 2pm on Saturday, February 18th.
