MLK Jr. Day affects services

The following offices and services will be affected by the Martin Luther King Jr. holiday Monday.

• City, county, state and federal offices, as well as schools, will be closed. (The Spokane County Engineering and Roads Division and Utilities Division will be open, however.)

• Post offices will be closed.

• Public libraries will be closed.

• The Washington Legislature and Idaho Legislature will be in session.

• Most banks will be closed.

• Most Washington state liquor stores will be open, as will Idaho state liquor stores.

• For garbage and recycling services, check with your provider.

Local journalism is essential.
