Obituary: Kain, George A. “Sam”

Age 81

KAIN,
George A.
“Sam”

Born September 12, 1930 to George and Dorothy in Helena, MT, passed away January 7th, 2012.

He en-joyed 81 great years, living life to the fullest.

He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Shari (Rosauer) of Spokane, daughter Kristy (Jeff) Howell of Woodinville, daughter Kari (Harry) Watkins of Missoula, MT, daughter Katie Kain of Spokane, son Peter (Elizabeth) Kain of Seattle, and daughter Kassi Kain of Spokane, and five grandchildren and one brother, James Kain of Phoenix, AZ.

George served two times in the US Army before attending North Idaho College, University of Oregon and then graduating from Gonzaga University Law School.

In his professional career, he had the privilege of serving as Spokane’s Prosecuting Attorney.

While Prosecutor he had the opportunity to argue a case before the United States Supreme Court.

In 1970 he entered private practice of law.
George “Sam” shared his love of the outdoors with his family and his close friends, and was especially passionate about camping, fishing, and skiing.

Although he was a private person, he was also known to be somewhat of a practical joker and always appreciated the humorous side of life.

His wife and family were the center of his life, and he loved spending time with them best of all.

At his request, no formal service will be held and a “celebration of life” will be scheduled for family and friends on January 28th.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials be sent to ARC of Spokane, Hospice of Spokane, North Idaho College or Gonzaga Law School.
