Charlotte

Charlotte Lavonne Miller passed away July 1, 2012; loving mother, grandmother and aunt.

She was born September 13, 1924 in Loretto, Nebraska.


She was raised in Chadron, Nebraska in a family of thirteen brothers and sisters.

She married Fred Miller on June 2, 1942.


After WWII they moved to the Pend Oreille Valley in 1947 where they became long-time residents of Metaline Falls.

She worked at the Washington Hotel and Mt Linton hospital in Metaline Falls.

She loved fishing, camping, playing cards and games and especially picking huckleberries.

She was at her happiest when she was surrounded by family.

She is preceded in death by her husband Fred, daughter-in-law Linda and twelve brothers and sisters.

She is survived by her daughter Jean and husband David Roark of Spokane Valley, son Pete and wife Judy of Metaline Falls, son Wayne and wife Christina of Colville and son Charlie of Ione.

She was blessed with nine grand children, sixteen great-grandchildren, four great-great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

At her request, no services are planned.
