PRAWDZIK, Helen R.

Helen Rose Jaroszewski Prawdzik entered peacefully into her rest, to the loving arms of the Lord, July 3, 2012.

Helen, the daughter of Stefan and Czeslawa Jaroszewski, was born February 7, 1921 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
Helen grew up in Camden, New Jersey.

There she met and married Walter Prawdzik.

Moving to South Florida Helen lived in Hialeah and Hollywood/Pembroke Pines, Florida until 2007 when she moved to Spokane, Washington to live with her son and daughter-in-law.

She was a housewife and mother and worked various office jobs.

She was a member of St. Boniface Catholic Church in Pembroke Pines and attended daily Mass serving as sacristan.
Helen will be remembered for her steadfast faith in the Lord, her love of the Blessed Virgin Mary, praying the rosary, and daily Mass.

She was giving and loving to all those around her and greeted everyone with a smile.
Helen and her beloved husband Walt loved to dance the polka and would be the first ones on the dance floor and the last ones off.
Helen loved to watch television mysteries, Funniest Home Videos, The Lawrence Welk Show and EWTN.

She constantly did word search puzzles and played computer games on her iPod.
Helen is survived by her children: Stephen and his wife Janice, Nancy and her husband Jimmy; grandchildren: Laura, Joshua, and Christina; former Son-in-Law James Carter and many dear friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband Walter and grandson Brian.
Services are as follows: Viewing with family at Hennessey-Smith Funeral Home Tuesday, July 10 from 11:00 until 2:00 pm.

Vigil Service at Immaculate Heart Retreat Center, Tuesday, July 10 at 7:00 pm.

Mass of Christian Burial at Immaculate Heart Retreat Center, July 11 at 11:00 am followed by Committal at Queen of Peace Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers Helen requested that memorial contributions be made to Hospice of Spokane, PO Box 2215, Spokane, 99210.
