TILSON, Albert Luther “Pat”
(1920-2012)
Albert Luther Tilson was the second of four children born to William and Amelia Tilson.
He was born in Brady, Montana on June 16, 1920.
Most of his young life was spent helping to farm acreage twelve miles south of Wilbur, Washington; training horses to ride was one of his many talents.
He attended Wilbur High School but did not graduate because of the draft for World War II.
He served his country from 1939 to 1945 in Camp Barstow, California and Oahu, Hawaii.
On returning home he married Eleanor Stewart in 1946 and helped raise stepsons Jerry, Don (deceased).
He worked at the Kaiser Aluminum Trentwood plant for 30 years.
After Eleanor’s passing, he later married Luella Martinson.
They retired in Colbert, Washington where he loved to farm alfalfa and spent twenty years during the winter months in Yuma, Arizona.
Jerry and Rose Stewart, step-daughter-in-law Meredith Stewart, stepsons Howard (and Teresa) Martinson, Jr. and Chris Martinson, survive Pat.
Eleven grandchildren, 27 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great-grandchildren also survive him.
A graveside service will be held at Greenwood Cemetery at 11 a.m. on July 14, 2012.
