Unusual housemates: A mother American robin stands guard over her brood nested upon a front-door wreath at the home of Nicole and Brady Stewart on the 4200 block of South Hatch Street in Spokane. Nicole Stewart said the nest was built on June 20 and three of the four eggs hatched on Tuesday. A sign near the front porch asks all visitors to use the back door to keep from disturbing the bird family. (Dan Pelle)
