Went to be with the Lord on July 17, 2012 related to complications of ALS.
Ken was born on August 20, 1940 with his twin KayDell to James and Dorothy Shelly in Drumright, OK, sixth in line of nine children.
He loved to fish, camp and was a big teaser.
He served his country in the U.S. Army, stationed in Okinawa, and Deep Creek, WA.
Ken worked as a sprinkler fitter for 30 years.
After retiring, he drove bus for Duram for 12 years.
He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Kathy in 2007 and his daughter, Dana Brinnon in 2008; his parents; three brothers and three sisters.
Ken is survived by his daughter, Kyla Edelblute (Chet) and granddaughter, Tessie of Rathdrum, ID; grandchildren, Brianna, Dustin and Amanda Brinnon of Coeur d’ Alene, ID; great-grandsons, Trae Whitted and Kael Brinnon of North Idaho; brother, Bill Shelly; sister, Betty Daniels of Claremore, OK; former wife, Gail McKim of Post Falls, ID; numerous nieces, nephews and friends.
He will be missed and is loved.
A potluck is planned for family and friends on August 5, 2012 at 2:00 PM at at his home, 2601 N. Barker Rd.
