KLEPPER, Leah R.
Leah R. Klepper, long time resident of Spokane and the Tri Cities, passed away Friday, June 1, 2012 at the Aegis Lodge of Kirkland at the age of 91, with her husband, Forest Klepper, by her side.
Leah was born May 19, 1921 near Ozark, MO and grew up in this area.
She graduated from Ozark High School in 1939 and attended South West Missouri State University.
She worked at the Hanford Plant for many years with both General Electric and ITT in the accounting departments and also served many years as the Head Cashier on the Hanford Project.
Leah and Forest moved to Kirkland, WA in 2010 to be near their daughter.
She and Forest were married February 11, 1940 and recently celebrated 72 years of marriage.
Leah is survived by Forest, daughter, Katie Headlee and husband Tom.
Leah had four grandsons: Dan Klepper of Kennewick, WA; Tom Headlee V. (wife Deborah), Strongsville, Ohio; Robert Headlee (wife Allison), Seattle, WA and Craig Headlee of Seattle, WA.
Leah was blessed with five great- granddaughters and one great-grandson.
Her son, Dan Klepper, of Spokane, WA passed away in 2006.
Graveside services will be held at the Pines Cemetery in Spokane, WA on Wednesday June 6th, 2012 at 2 p.m.
