Spokane woman crushed by own car identified
UPDATED: Tue., June 12, 2012
A Spokane woman who died after being run over by her own car has been identified as Kaitlyn Rebstock, 22.
Rebstock’s grandmother found her under her car near the 2900 block of West 16th Avenue this morning and called police.
Police believe Rebstock was trying to stop the car from rolling down a steep driveway when she was pinned underneath. Police say she’d returned from work about midnight.
Rebstock suffocated from the weight of the vehicle, the Spokane County Medical Examiner’s Office said this afternoon.
