Obituary: Crosby, Lavora Grace
Age 76
LaVora Grace Crosby, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend passed away peacefully at her home in the Spokane Valley with her family by her side on Tuesday, June 12, 2012.
LaVora G. Greenwood was born September 19, 1935 to Rev.
Carl and Delsie Greenwood in Spokane, WA.
She graduated from Northwest Christian High School in 1953 and was a member of the Gospel Team.
She attended Beacon Chapel where she met Leslie Albert Crosby and the two were wed September 26, 1953.
She was a wonderful mother to her ten children, grandmother to her fifteen grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren.
LaVora loved to work with her hands.
She enjoyed cooking, sewing, gardening and oil painting.
Her crocheting and embroidery designs were cherished by family and friends.
LaVora was preceded in death by her son, Mark Crosby.
LaVora is survived by her husband Leslie A. Crosby; her daughters LaRhonda, Renee White of Reno, NV, Annette Clark, Vicky Armstrong, and Rachelle Crosby; her sons, Jeffrey of San Diego, CA, Derrick, Darren, and Jared Crosby.
LaVora is also survived by her sisters Lorraine Foreman of Linden, WA, Joan Greenwood, Yvonne Greenwood of Seattle, WA, Sharon Shoop of Sedro-Woolley, WA; and brothers, Vearl Greenwood of Burnsville, MN, Marlin Greenwood and Orland Greenwood of Las Vegas, NV, Mahlon Greenwood, and Jason Greenwood of Coeur d’Alene, ID.
LaVora’s love for her Saviour showed in the way she conducted her life and served her family.
She will be greatly missed, by all who knew and loved her.

Visitation will be held at the Riplinger Funeral Home located at 4305 N. Division from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. on Saturday, June 16th and on Monday, June 18th from 9:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. Memorial services will be held at Riplinger Funeral Home on Tuesday, June 19, 2012 at 10:00 a.m.
