RECORD: 14-14 overall, 6-10 Pac-12
COMING UP: Tonight at UCLA, 7:30; Saturday at USC, 3 p.m.
OUTLOOK: It could be an interesting night in Los Angeles. UCLA (16-13, 9-7) will be playing its first game since a Sports Illustrated article published Wednesday detailed a history of drug and alcohol abuse by players, as well as myriad other problems, during coach Ben Howland’s tenure. That could be a major distraction for a Bruins team that is already putting the finishing touches on a disappointing season. Still, UCLA beat the Cougars 63-60 in Pullman on Feb. 4. WSU can’t improve its Pac-12 tournament seeding with a win, but can assure at least a .500 regular-season finish. USC (6-23, 1-15), decimated by injuries, is limping to the finish.
