GOTTLOB, Donald Joe
TSgt USAF Ret.

Passed away February 28, 2012 at Valley Hospital and Medical Center at the age of 75.

He was born on September 10, 1936 to Joe and Dorothy Gottlob in Winfield, KS.

He graduated from Winfield High School in May, 1954, and joined the USAF, August 1954.

Donald was stationed at Donaldson AFB, Greenville, South Carolina; Tachikawa AB, Japan; Schilling AFB, Kansas; Walker AFB, New Mexico; Seymour Johnson AFB, North Carolina; U-tupao, Thailand; and Fairchild AFB, Washington.

He retired from the USAF September, 1974.

He was then employed by R.A. Hanson Co., and ASC Machine Tools.

Donald is survived by his wife, Karen; his three children: Lisa (Gary) Frahn of Renton, WA; Joe (Pam) Gottlob of Spokane Valley, WA; and Roger (Teri) Gottlob of Idaho Falls, ID; 13 grandchildren and four great grandsons; as well as his brothers, Max of Siloam Springs, AR and Ivan of Ponca City, OK. Donald enjoyed fishing, especially salmon fishing on the Washington coast.

He was a member of the Inland Empire Dahlia Society, North Idaho Dahlia Society and the American Dahlia Society.

He loved to grow and show Dahlias.

A memorial service will be held on Friday, March 16, 2012 at 1:30 PM at the Washington State Veteran’s Cemetery, 21702 W. Espanola Rd, Medical Lake, WA.
