A memorial service for Ann Yeend will be held on Friday, March 16, 2012 at Emmanuel Presbyterian Church at 11:00 a.m.,
1926 W. Chelan Ave. in
Spokane, WA.

Ann was born September 14, 1922 in Spokane, WA.

to Herbert and Winnifred Stewart and passed away February 21, 2012 at ManorCare Heath Services.

Ann was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Bob, infant son Jon and daughter Betsy.

Ann attended two years at Colorado Woman’s College and continued her education at the University of Idaho earning her Masters Degree in counseling.

She continued her education earning graduate hours in psychology at Eastern Washington University.

She has worked as a teacher, social worker, mental health counselor, play therapist and chaplain during her adult years.

Ann was a chaplain at Holy Family Hospital since 1998 and received the bulk of her chaplain experience at Deaconess Medical Center.

Ann loved flying and was one of three female pilots trained to fly during the tail end of World War II.

Her other passions included snow skiing, teaching school, writing and social work.

Her greatest joys were her church, friends and family.

Ann is survived by her step-son Robert E. Yeend and wife Kathie, son Richard S. Yeend and wife Chelle, daughter Sally A. Hicks and husband Steven, son James S. Yeend, twelve grand- children and fourteen great-grandchildren.
