Katherine was born on April 16, 1953 in Colfax, WA.

She passed away on February 29, 2012 in Spokane, WA.

“You will be missed by the stories you would write, your sense of humor and your laughter that goes with that beautiful smile.”

She is survived by her mother Maryann Gerling of Spokane, WA; daughter Dana Brown of Spokane, WA; sisters Linda Thomas (Mark) of Ritzville, WA; Marilyn Banfield (Jerry) of Spokane, WA; and Peggy Ochoa of Spokane, WA; brother Mike Gerling of Spokane, WA, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband Charles Brown and her father Donald Gerling.

There will be a family dinner held in her memory at a later date.
