Lifelong Spokane resident, born to Dick and Martha Robinson.

Jim graduated from Central Valley High School in 1969.

Jim joined the Army Reserves, and then began a career as a heavy duty truck mechanic.

He married Julie Reed in 1982, and enjoyed sailing, gardening, and cooking.

Jim is survived by his wife of 30 years, Julie; sister, Jane McLeod of Spokane; brother, Rob of Columbia, South America; sons, Travis (Staci) Smith of Maple Valley, WA, and Dustin (Machelle) Smith of Spokane; grandchildren, Micah, Abagail, Benjamin, Allison, and Tyler Smith; nieces, nephews and numerous friends and family in the Spokane area.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, March 17, 2012, at 10:00 AM, at:
