Obituary: Loomis, Bernhardine Auguste

LOOMIS, Bernhardine Auguste
“Bernie” (Wenz)

It is with sadness that we announce the passing of our dear mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.

Bernie was born June 8, 1919 in Mainz, Germany.

Bernie married Air Force Master Sergeant Robert D. Loomis in 1952.

They moved to Spokane in 1967 with their two sons, Robert and William Loomis.

Her husband passed away in 1995.

Bernie had a loving disposition and a twinkle in her eye.

She was a friend to everyone who met her.

She loved being a grandmother to Andrew, and in her later years her greatest joy was her great- grandson Jackson.

Bernie is survived by her sons, William, Robert and his wife Patricia, grandson Andrew and his wife, Nicolle, and great- grandson Jackson.

We want to thank the staff of Sacred Heart Medical Center for their loving care and concern.

We also want to thank Rockwood South Hill for all they have done for our dear Bernie.

They showered her with much love and attention for the many years she resided there.

A private memorial will be held.

Any donations in her memory may be sent to Rockwood Residents’ Foundation, 2903 E. 25th Ave., Ofc.

Suites, Spokane, Washington 99223.
