Mega Millions jackpot now $640 million

The jackpot for the Mega Millions game was raised another $100 million today, to $640 million.
The lump sum cash option now stands at $462 million.
Tickets have been selling at a quick clip nationwide.
“In the past two days, we’ve seen an increase in play eight times the normal rate of participation,” said Idaho Lottery Director Jeff Anderson. “When you do participate, please remember to do so responsibly.”
The draw for the winning numbers occurs at 8 p.m. Pacific time tonight.
