Fairfield City Council – A special meeting was held at 8 a.m. Monday. The council voted to approve an agreement with the Union Pacific Railroad for grade crossing improvements on Main Street. The council also accepted the resignation of deputy town clerk Alene Felgenhauer, which is effective immediately. The town will review the most recent applications received for the position in selecting a replacement.
