Business license amnesty offered

Unlicensed businesses may participate in an amnesty program this week to obtain a city of Spokane license without paying penalties or interest.

The businesses must pay all license fees due. They must not have been contacted earlier by the city regarding licensing problems.

For businesses referred to collections, the city will waive all collections fees, leaving a business responsible only for the amount the city referred for collections.

Business owners or representatives interested in the amnesty program can visit the Taxes and Licenses Department at City Hall.
