HODGES, George P.

It is with great love and honor that we celebrate the life of George P. Hodges, our husband, father and grandfather.

We will miss his enthusiasm for life, compassion and sense of humor.

He was born to Amee and Farmin Hodges of Oakesdale, Washington on November 30, 1927 and grew up on the farm where he would live for most of his life.

After graduating from Oakesdale High School he spent two years with the Naval Cadets.

In 1950 he graduated from WSU with a degree in Agriculture.

Four years later he married the love of his life, Marion Wright of Tekoa.

They were married for 57 years, during which time they raised three children through loving example.

In 2010 George and Marion moved to Fairwood Retirement Village in Spokane, where they spent nearly two very happy years.

George passed away May 19, 2012.

He is survived by his wife, daughter Sandy Pedersen, son George and his wife Shannon, son Ken and his wife Kelly and six grandchildren.

At his request there will be no services.
