A piece-full hobby: Phoebe Daniels, of Spokane, sets up her 47-year-old Singer sewing machine during the Square Dance quilt block class on Wednesday at the Corbin Senior Center. The students were crafting a single center piece surrounded by complementary border colors. Referring to the simplicity of her old machine, Daniels said, “It’s my friendly one.” As a group, this summer the students will create a queen-size quilt to be auctioned at the Corbin Senior Center’s Munch and Mingle Gala and Auction.
