SCHULTZ, Marian M.
(Age 86)

Marian M. Schultz was born on August 10, 1926 in Snoqualmie Falls, WA to John C. and Isabella Wynne.

She passed away on Wednesday, October 31, 2012.

Marian grew up as the daughter of a railroad engineer, living in numerous locations in Eastern Washington.

She graduated from Holy Names Academy in Spokane and then Sacred Heart School of Nursing in 1947.

Marian worked as a nurse at Sacred Heart and then in several locations as a private practice nurse until she retired in 1986.

She spent her retirement traveling throughout the United States, Australia, New Zealand, Mexico, and Canada.

She and her husband spent summers at Deer Lake and wintered for over 20 years at their “snowbird” retreat in Yuma, AZ.

Marian played the piano, cello, trumpet and other instruments and loved traveling the Jazz Festival circuit with Howard, the love of her life and husband of 60 years.

Marian also was involved in St. Charles Altar Society, St. Charles Home & School and the Camp Fire organization.

She is survived by her son; Greg W. Schultz (Kelly Patterson) of Spokane, her daughters; Kathy Warner (Dale Warner) of Spokane; and Joan Schultz of Vancouver, WA.

, and her sister; Patricia (Wynne) Nevler of Seattle, WA.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Howard in 2009, her daughter; Judy (Schultz) Ellis in 2002 and her sister; Barbara (Wynne) Kalinowski.

She also leaves behind six grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

A Vigil will be held on Sunday, November 4, at 7:00 p.m. at Hennessey-Smith Funeral Home.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, November 5, at 11:00 a.m. at St. Thomas More Catholic Church with internment to follow at Holy Cross Mausoleum Chapel.

Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Spokane or St Jude Children’s Hospital.

A special “thank you” to Marian’s “Best Friend”, Betty Davidson, for all the love, care and support over the years.

The family would also like to thank the Staff at Holy Family Hospital, Avalon Care Center, and Hospice of Spokane for their compassionate and professional care.
