Lolo gets sled spot

 Olympic hurdler Lolo Jones is about to become a World Cup bobsledder.

 Jones is one of three women’s bobsled push athletes who will compete for the U.S. in this weekend’s World Cup opener at Lake Placid, N.Y. She will be in the back of USA-3, piloted by Jazmine Fenlator.

 Last month, Jones was one of six push athletes chosen for the women’s national team. Only three of those six are expected to compete this weekend.

 Elana Meyers will pilot USA-1 with another Olympic track athlete, sprinter Tianna Madison. Madison was part of the world-record-setting 4x100-meter relay team that won gold at the London Games. Jamie Greubel is the pilot for USA-2, with reigning U.S. push champion Aja Evans in the back of her sled.

 The full lineups for this weekend are expected to be released today.
