Excelsior School

This is the Excelsior School, located off U.S. Highway 195 near Paradise Road circa 1918. Mr. Williams was the teacher and he started corn clubs and pea clubs to encourage good farming practices in young people.

The Spokane Valley Heritage Museum, 12114 E. Sprague Ave., is open Wednesday through Saturday, 11 a.m.-4 p.m. Admission is $6 for adults, $5 for seniors, $4 for students and $4 for children 18 and younger.
