Obituary: Ericksen, Eileen J.

Age 88

ERICKSEN, Eileen J.

(Schreiber)

Our beloved mother, Eileen Jeanette Ericksen, died October 12, 2012 from natural causes.

She was born December 18, 1923 to Helen and Albert Schreiber in Spokane, WA.

Her family moved to Spokane Valley her senior year in high school and she graduated from West Valley in 1941.

She met our father, John Ericksen, at a roller skating rink.

Our parent’s marriage was a model of love and devotion.

We celebrated their 64th wedding anniversary a few days before her death.

Her life centered around her family; her five sons, Ron (Betty), Rick (Nyla), Ray (Sandee), Chris (Ellen) and John Jr. (Carolyn) and her six grandchildren.

She had a deep love of books and reading, was an enthusiastic attendee at all our sports functions and enjoyed her road trips around the Inland Northwest.

A woman of faith, she attended Opportunity Christian Church for many years and continued her Bible and devotional readings at home.

She was preceded in death and will be going home to her father (Albert), mother (Helen), sister (Virginia) and brother (Arthur).

A celebration of her life will be held at 1pm, Thursday, October 18, 2012, at Opportunity Christian Church, 708 N Pines Rd, Spokane Valley, WA.

In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to the charity of your choice.
