Passed peacefully on October 11, 2012.
She was born November 16, 1923 in Lind, WA, to Charles and Pauline (Koch) Rushmeier.
She attended grade school in Prosser and graduated from Lind High School in 1941.
Lucille and George Kubik eloped and married June 4, 1941.
They farmed in the Ritzville area until they retired in 1983.
They spent the next 25 years as ‘snowbirds’, traveling to Yuma, AZ every winter and exploring the southwest.
Lucille enjoyed painting, taking classes over the years and blessed her extended family with her artwork.
She was preceded in death by her parents, brother Lloyd Rushmeier and son, Leon Kubik.
She is survived by her husband of 71 years, George Kubik, son Tone (Leslie) Kubik, daughter Linda Kubik, all of Ritzville, brother Loren (Yvonne) Rushmeier, Oaksdale, sister-in-law Violet Rushmeier, Orting, four grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
At her request, there will be no service DANEKAS FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATORY-Ritzville is entrusted with arrangements.
