Obituary: Weathers, Roberta

WEATHERS, Roberta

Roberta Alene Weathers “Bobbie”, 80, of Spokane WA went to be with our Lord on the 12th of October 2012.

She passed peace- fully while sleeping.

She was born Roberta Alene Weber in Potlatch Idaho to Andrew and Ida Belle Weber on November 15th, 1931.

Bobbie
graduated from North Central High School in 1949.

She married Jack Dolph Weathers in San Marcos, TX in 1951 while Jack served in the Air Force.

Jack lives in Spokane Valley WA.
Bobbie has four children, Terri Lynn Lustig of Allen, TX, Thomas Michael Weathers of Flagstaff AZ, Drew Allen Weathers of Katy, TX and Robert Bradley Weathers of Valleyford WA.

Bobbie also has nine grandchildren and four great-grand children.
Bobbie was preceded in passing by her brothers Loren and Louis and her sister Audrey Merten.

She is survived by her sister Maxine Copley of Spokane WA and twin brother William “Bill” of Seven Bays WA.
Until the age of 38 Bobbie was a busy homemaker taking care of four precocious children.

As they moved on she began working full time first in a fabric store then in automobile dealers in Phoenix and Tucson, AZ as a title clerk.

After many years in auto dealerships she opened and co-owned her own auto licensing and title business in Tucson, AZ.
Bobbie was the life of the party and the light in the room.

If you met Bobbie you remember her as funny, sincere, and giving.

She was truly all of these things and more.

Her favorite things were her family, friends, and especially our Lord.

She would often break into song, singing to the radio or in a silent room.

A memorial service will be held at South Hill Bible Church on the 19th of October at 3:00 p.m. and will be presided over by family friend and pastor, John Underhill.

Coffee and Bobbie’s favorite sweets will be offered following the memorial.

In lieu of flowers the family wishes that donations be given to Hospice of Spokane.
