Age 82


BRYANT, Betty Jean

Betty Jean (Midkiff) Bryant born March 4th, 1930 to Mahala E. Midkiff and Jefferson Franklin Midkiff.
Betty Jean was born in Idaho and raised in California until her parents made their home in the Colville/Northport, WA area.

Betty was always proud of her father’s stories of coming out to California and Oregon on the last wagon train from Oklahoma, Cherokee Nation.
Betty Jean loved country music and wrote and had sold at least one song known, ‘Waltz of The Leaves’ listened to on the radio.
Betty Jean loved her family and grandchildren; she finally moved in with her daughter just days before she passed away.

Betty Jean Passed away on July 10th, 2012 surrounded by her family.

Preceded in death by sister Anna age 2, sister Elsa Godfrey and husband Elmer, brother James Midkiff, nephew Franklin Ropp.

Survived by four children Arthur S. Bryant, Michael E. Bryant, Kathleen E. Bryant (Hess), Patrick H. Bryant; also 10 grandchildren and 15 great-grand- children; sisters Meryl I. Ropp, husband Richard, son James.

Donna B. Ropp, husband Gary, daughter Sandra Finch, Jeffery Ropp, Russell Ropp, sister-in-law Louise, nephew Roger Midkiff.

Betty Jean had several great nieces and nephews she leaves behind.


We will all miss her but she is pain free as she resides with God.
Services at Westminster Presbyterian Church, 2705 W. Boone Ave, Saturday, September 8th at 2pm with a potluck get together at the Mission Park in Spokane.
