Children get in free at Spokane fair today
Today is Family Day at the Spokane Interstate Fair. Youth passes available at Safeway stores allow children under 18 to be admitted free when with a paying adult.
The lineup for today at the Spokane County Fair and Expo Center, 404 N. Havana St., includes:
• Museum and train rides open from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. at the Inland Empire Railway Historical Society.
• 11:30 a.m., racing pigs.
• 2:45 p.m., vocalist Charlie Marie.
• 4 p.m., Paul Isaak, juggling and comedy.
• 7 p.m., Huey Lewis and the News (tickets $15-30 at the fair office, TicketsWest.com or 800-325-7328).
General admission to the fair is $10 for adults; $7 for ages 7-13 or 65 and older; and free for children 6 and under.
