HAMILTON, Gerald Eric Erickson “General”

Passed away on Saturday, September 8, 2012.

General was born to John and Irean Erickson on January 23, 1951 in Spokane, Washington.

He grew up in Deer Park, WA with his mother and step father, Fred Hamilton, where he attended school with his three sisters, Jonnie Hamilton Rogers, June Hamilton Shaner (Bob), and Pam Hamilton Valencia (Terry).

In 1968 he enlisted in the U.S. Army, seeing combat action in Vietnam while serving with COMPANY C, 1st PLT, 7th CAV.

After returning from Vietnam he married Song and had two beautiful daughters; Carmelia Hamilton and Suhanna Hamilton Jens.

He spent 30+ years with the love of his life Tayna Brossard.

General was a “Jack of All Trades” and a Master of many!

Baker, welder, builder, and truck driver to name a few.

He enjoyed five grandchildren, Kaya, Isiah and Isaac Walser, and Benton and Dalton Jens; a step-daughter, Jessie; and two step-grandsons, Clayton and Caleb.

General is also survived by his step-father Fred Hamilton, aunts, cousins, nieces, nephews, and many friends.

His was predeceased by his parents John Erickson, and Irean Hamilton.

The Patriot Guard made up of General’s motorcycle friends and fellow veterans will lead the procession with his motorcycle from Deer Park.

(MEETING AT 12:30 AT THE VFW) to the Washington State Veterans Memorial Cemetery 21702 W. Espanola Rd, Medical Lake for his service there at 3:00 P.M. on Friday, Sept. 28th.
