Lee Milroy
Passed away on September 21, 2012 in Aberdeen, WA.
Lee was born on August 3, 1938, to parents Lee W. Gochnour and Ellen (Frost) Gochnour in Humptulips, WA.
He graduated from Hoquiam High School in 1956, and received his AA Degree in Diesel and Heavy Equipment Repair from the L.H.
Bates Vocational School.
Lee owned and drove log trucks in the years following his schooling and became Manager of Emerson GM Diesel in 1969.
With a move to Spokane, WA in 1974, he became Manager of Service at Andrews Equipment until an adventurous move to Hobart Bay, AK, in 1988, where he served as the Heavy Equipment Manager for Kluckwon, Inc.
He returned from Alaska to Valley, WA, in 1995 where he worked as Mine and Equipment Manager for Dawson Trucking until retirement in 2006.
He spent many years traveling the United States in his motorhome with his wife Elizabeth who preceded him in death in 2008 and his faithful beagle “she’s not a dog” Gracie.
Lee always said that he had a wonderful and fulfilling life.
He had many interests and talents.
He was an airplane pilot, scuba diver, had sky dived and loved to sail.
He was known for his ever present smile and good humor and had an ability to fix (MacGyver) anything.
He will be missed greatly by his family and friends.
Lee was preceded in death by his parents, brother Roy, and sisters Barbara, Betty, and Maxine.
He is survived by his sisters; Maureen and M’lisse, his children; Lee Patrick (Cheryl), Karmen (Marty), Jeff (Tamie), Kimberly Wyszkowski and Lloyd Goodin (Jen), eight grandchildren and two great-grandchildren .
Lee requested no service be held.
