Obituary: (Prouty) Westfall, Bertha

Age 91

WESTFALL (Prouty), Bertha (Age 91) Passed away on July 20, 2013 in Bremerton, Washington after a long illness.

Born in Colville, Washington on February 16, 1922, to Harold G. and Augusta O. Prouty, she later moved to Spokane where she was in banking and then to Bremerton, Wa.

where she was co-owner of Town and Country Real Estate.

After retirement, she and her husband, Harold Westfall and their pets traveled extensively in their RV and enjoyed fishing for salmon at Neah Bay.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Harold, of 59 years, and her son in law, Dick Powers.

She is survived by her daughters, Carole Shipley, Edmonds, Wa.

and Karen Powers, Deer Park, Wa.. Also surviving is her brother, Harry Prouty, his wife, Bonnie, and their daughter, Sheryl Hardin (Rick), all of Weldon, Ca.

In addition, Bertha is survived by two grandchildren, Todd Powers (Tina), Spokane Valley, Wa.

and Michelle Powers, of Spokane, Wa., several great grandchildren, one great, great grandchild and great, great nieces and great, great nephews.

Bertha was a friend to everyone she met.

She was greatly loved and will be missed.

We love you, Mom.

In lieu of a service and flowers, she asked that donations be made to the Humane Society of the United States.
