Born on December 27, 1911 in Eagle Grove, IA.
She died at the Sullivan Park Campus of Care, Spokane Valley on Sunday, August 4, 2013.
She was raised in Iowa on a farm and graduated from Vernon Consolidated High School in Renwick, IA.
Wilma married Willard K. Duer of Eagle Grove, IA on October 31, 1931 in Bethany, MO.
She and her husband were in the hatchery business in Kanawha, IA for more than 30 years.
They moved to Spokane in 1961.
Wilma worked for J.C. Penney at Shadle and U-City Centers for 13 years in the domestics department.
Her many hobbies were oil painting, sewing, crocheting, re-upholstering furniture, playing bridge and attending Rebecca Church Circle at the United Methodist Church in Spokane Valley.
She is survived by three daughters, Carrolee Kraft (Ron), Spokane Valley, Janet Bradshaw (Ron), Hinesville, GA, and Nancy Finch (Mike), Spokane Valley; one son, Jon Duer (Sharon), Spokane Valley; 11 grandchildren, Ronda Kraft, Roger Kraft, Kathy Henderschiedt, Kim Bradshaw, Beverly Coffmann, Lisa Riley, Ken Nelson, Jennifer Nelson, David Duer, Douglas Duer, Daniel Duer; 14 great-grandchildren and one great-great-granddaughter.
She is preceded in death by her husband of 63 years, Willard K. Duer; one infant son, Norman K. Duer; her parents; three sisters, Jessie Ernst, Dorothy Bleasner and Berenice Gates; and one brother, Lee Bleasner.
A Prayer Service will take place at 10:00 A.M. on Saturday, August 10, 2013 at Greenwood Memorial Terrace, Spokane, WA.
