Obituary: Sulpizio, Ronald Stephen “Gus”

SULPIZIO, Ronald Stephen “Gus” Of Spokane, WA, beloved husband and best friend of Patty (Shelley) Sulpizio for 41 years, passed away surrounded by the ones he laughed with, lived for and loved, on August 1, 2013.

Gus was born in Spokane, WA, to Emil and Fay Sulpizio.

He was raised in Spokane and graduated from Shadle Park High School.

After high school Gus attended SFCC before enlisting as a medic in the Army where he served during the Vietnam War.

Gus loved to barbeque, golf, spend time with his family and play cards with his friends at the Black Pearl (especially with his dear friend Jack).

Gus was extremely loving and proud of his three daughters, Shelley (Travis) Cheney, Katie (Tim) Croyle, and Heather Sulpizio.

He is also survived by his wife and love of his life, Patty Sulpizio; five grandchildren, Stephen, Sarah, Emily, Marcus, and Samuel; brother, Terry (Renee) Sulpizio; sister-in-law, Marigail; as well as his many loving nieces, nephews and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Emil and Fay Sulpizio; sister, Diana Kay; and brother, Dennis “Denny” Sulpizio.

The family would like to thank Dr. Maryam Parviz for going above and beyond the duties of a doctor and providing Gus with loving care.

The friends and relatives of Gus and Patty are invited to attend his services, which include a rosary, Friday, August 9, 2013, at 7:00 PM, and a memorial service, Saturday, August 10, 2013, at 11:00 AM.

Both will be held at St. Paschal Catholic Church, 2523 N. Park Rd, Spokane, WA.
