Third man arrested in connection with Moses Lake shooting

From staff reports
Moses Lake police on Sunday arrested a third man wanted in connection with the Dec. 10 shooting of Dale Olmos near Moses Lake. Gilbert Williamson, 46, was taken into custody without incident and booked into Grant County Jail, a news release from the Grant County Sheriff’s Office said. Prosecutors charged Williamson with first-degree rendering criminal assistance for his alleged role in the shooting. Jordan Wiester, 21, and Jose Rivera, 16, also are in custody and face charges of attempted first-degree murder. “We’ve got all the suspects in custody that we believe were responsible for the shooting,” said Kyle Foreman, a spokesman for the sheriff’s office. Olmos, 28, was found with a gunshot wound to the head near Moses Lake on Dec. 11. He remains in critical condition at a nearby hospital, Foreman said. Detectives think Olmos was shot in a dispute over a stolen cellphone.
