Obituary: Thomas, Raymond Francis
He passed away January 31, 2013 at 1:00 am at his home in Spokane.
Bud was in the Navy with his brother David Evan Thomas Jr. on the USS Hornet from 1958-1962, he was a body and fender man all his life and was also an avid Shovelhead rider for 50+ years, and never had a motorcycle endorsement.
Bud and his 1971 Shovelhead rode many miles and meet many lifelong friends along the way.
He also spent many hours on the lake fishing with his wife and best friend Terri, and together they had the joy of riding their Harleys to Sturgis three times in 1982, 1990 and 2000.
He was a rescuer of strays, both human and animal.
Bud is survived by his wife Terri, brother Steve, sons Mike and Dave, daughter Ginny, grandchildren Conrad who was advised to “stay out of jail” and Hailee who was advised to “pursue your dreams”.
To put it simply, his road will never end for him.
He always had a good joke for everyone.
He always brought joy and was a grandfather and father.
He is a true American that rode as he pleased, and we all know he is still riding his bike as he pleases.
Still he was stubborn, but guess what?
He had a heart of gold.
We all know he would want us to move on and live our dreams.
A wake and memorial service will be announced at a later date.
All donations may be made to Horizon Hospice, 123 W. Cascade Way, Suite A, Spokane, WA 99208.
Bud Thomas will be greatly missed by all.
