Sing it right!

I am writing to voice my disgust over the way that our National Anthem was sung at this year’s Super Bowl. Alicia Keyes sang it much too slowly, and in a soft, soothing voice. Most popular singers insist on taking “musical license” with our National Anthem.

I believe our National Athem should be sung in the powerful, straight-forward manner in which it was written, without any personal deviations or embellishments.
