Obituary: Hobbs, Charmion

HOBBS, Charmion Charmion “Charmy” Jean (Skarset) Hobbs was born March 21, 1936 in Windom, MN to Dan and Alice (Rose) Skarset.

The family moved to Spokane in 1942 and Charmy graduated from Rogers High School.

On August 30, 1957, Charmy married her loving husband of over 55 years, Fred R. Hobbs.

Charmy became a “stay at home mom” when their children were born, which she enjoyed very much.

She was a very cheerful person, and the light of her life was her grandchildren.

Charmy loved to travel and had the opportunity to travel to Europe (a couple of times), Australia, Russia, Mexico, and all over the US.

For the past 25 years, her favorite activity was spending time at their lake place on Sacheen Lake.

Charmy is survived by her husband, Fred; daughter, Kimberly Kay (Richard) Moorhead; son, Mark Hobbs; grandsons, Stephan Moorhead, Geoff (Elizabeth) Moorhead, Skylar Moorhead; granddaughter, Taryn Moorhead; several nieces and nephews; two dogs; and a cat.

A memorial service has been planned for Sunday, January 6, 2013 beginning at 2:00PM at RIPLINGER FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATORY 4305 N. Division Spokane, WA.
