Fighting men booked for theft Saturday night

A drunken argument turned into two robbery arrests in North Spokane late Saturday night. Spokane police responded to a call of two people arguing and fighting in the street near Knox Avenue and Cedar Street late Saturday night, Officer Tracie Meidl said. The neighbor who saw the incident said the two appeared to be intoxicated. When officers arrived, they found Joshua W. Miller, 26, and Jon E. Temple, 27, who matched the description of suspects from a robbery earlier Saturday evening at the Walgreens at 1708 W. Northwest Blvd. The suspects were just a couple blocks from where the robbery occurred, she said. As police were arresting the suspects, they received a call for a robbery at the General Store and Ace Hardware on 2424 N. Division St. at 7:30 p.m., Meidl said. Miller and Temple matched the description provided by employees from that robbery as well. Police found Miller and Temple’s car nearby with the stolen merchandise in the back, Meidl said. Miller and Temple were booked into Spokane County Jail on theft charges.
