Obituary: Garrett, Ronald Lee

Age 72

GARRETT, Ronald Lee Lifelong Endicott resident, passed away Monday, June 3, 2013 at Pullman Regional Hospital.

He was 72.

A Memorial Service will be Friday, June 7th, at 1:00 PM at Trinity Lutheran Church in Endicott.

Ron was born in Colfax on December 27, 1940 to Ralph and Helen Morasch Garrett.

He grew up on the family farm at Endicott and graduated from high school there in 1959.

He attended Washington State College in Pullman for two years before returning to Endicott and helping his parents farm.

Ron also worked with his brother Frank at Kahlotus and Winona, Washington raising livestock and grain.

He moved to Spokane for a few years where he helped his grandfather, Forrest Garrett, in B & G Securities; a mining securities firm.

Ron married Nancy Frisbie February 2, 1974 in Seattle.

The majority of their life was spent on the family wheat farm at Endicott.

Ron enjoyed gardening and taking care of his yard.

He was also an avid collector of fine antiques and oriental rugs.

He was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, the Endicott Gun Club and the Spokane Club.

Ron is survived by his wife of 39 years, Nancy, in Spokane; two brothers, Frank Garrett, Endicott and Bob Garrett, Pullman; and by a nephew, Joshua and two nieces, Shannon Billigmeier and Staci Smith and their families.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

The family suggests memorial gifts be made to the Endicott School Foundation.
