Obituary: Lambright, Katherine V.

Age 91

LAMBRIGHT, Katherine V. (Age 91) Died June 5, 2013 in Spokane, Washington.

She was born August 24, 1921 to Laura and Carl Johnson at their farm home southwest of Cheney, Washington.

Her family moved to Tucker Prairie to farm where she attended school in a one-room country schoolhouse.

They later moved to a farm near Edwall, Washington where she attended school and graduated in 1939.

She is survived by five children, Laural Hepton (Jim), Russell Holloway (Donna), Penny Bankey (Mark), Nina McConnell (Joe), and Scott Lambright (Sharon); sisters, Mildred Thorpe of Kirkland, WA, and Carol Strieff of Cheney, WA; brother, Kenneth Johnson of Post Falls, ID; 12 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.

Surviving her are five godchildren, many cousins, here and in Canada, Germany, Sweden, and a special friend, Madgie Aton.

She is preceded in death by husbands Murray Holloway and Bob Lambright, a sister, Evelyn Nelson and a godchild, Tami Selfridge.

Katherine was a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church in Medical Lake, WA, the Noble Babes Red Hat Group, Golden Agers, and the American Legion Auxiliary.

She spent many wonderful years caring for her parents, neighbors, and young children and loved them all!

Memorial contributions may be made to St. John’s Lutheran Church, 223 S. Hallett, Medical Lake, WA 99022 in her memory.

A memorial service will be held at a later date.
