Spokane police searching for suspect in homicide

North Side incident left one man dead

Tillery

Spokane police are hunting for Joshua J. Tillery, a man with a collar of tattoos suspected of killing 33-year-old Devon Mack by shooting him in the head Friday inside a north Spokane home.

Det. Lydia Prichard said police questioned Tara Rader and released her. They also found a vehicle involved in the incident.

Tillery is 33 and goes by the nickname “Danger.”

Police were called after a gunshot was heard around 5 p.m. Friday inside the home at 4508 N. Lincoln St.

Officers and paramedics found Mack dead inside.

A roommate said Tillery and Mack were involved in some sort of argument before the shooting, according to court documents. The roomate said she ran out and threatened to call 911 when she heard the shooting.

“Danger said something to the effect that he did not mean for the gun to go off,” she said, according to records.

Tillery has an outstanding municipal warrant for possession of a dangerous weapon and trespassing from a 2010 case. He had been arrested earlier but skipped his court date, according to court records.

Mack had a lengthy history of drug convictions and had two pending cases for charges of methamphetamine possession.
