Construction

Matt Boyd, vice president and division manager of Burke Construction Group’s Pacific Northwest Division, won the 2013 Best of West Community Relations Award – Individual from the West Plains Chamber of Commerce. Boyd is a member of Greater Spokane International and the Inland Northwest Chapter of The Associated General Contractors. He is also vice chairman of the Cheney Merchants Association.

Education

Lisa Brown, WSU Spokane chancellor, has been named the WSU Woman of the Year. The award recognizes women who have made an impact in social change, equality and community. Brown served as the Senate majority leader from 2005 to 2012 and was the first Democratic woman in the Legislature to hold the position.

Engineering

DCI Engineers has promoted Justin Cook from associate to associate principal. Cook has been with the firm since 1999 and has led the design direction for several projects. He is a member of the Structural Engineers Association of Washington and a Platinum Allied Member of the American Institute of Architects.

Financial

Krista Gering has joined the Spokane Wells Fargo Insurance Services USA office as an assistant account representative in the Benefits Department. Previously, Gering was with Wells Fargo Bank.

Forestry

The Washington Agriculture and Forestry Education Foundation has hired Lynn Flatow as the coordinator of corporate services and promoted Melisa Williams to director of seminar and corporate services. Flatow will oversee database and central records management for the Foundation. Williams has five years of experience in planning and organizing seminars for the Foundation’s leadership program.

Health Care

Kootenai Health Foundation has added Georgianne Jessen, Albert Martinez and Peter Wagstaff to their Foundation board for a three-year term. Jessen holds a master’s degree in health care management and served as the CEO of the Providence Health Care System in California. Martinez has been a radiologist at Kootenai Health for 23 years and is co-founder of Night Hawk Radiology Services. Wagstaff has served the Kootenai Health Foundation as a member of the Finance and Planned Giving Committees since 1998.

Dr. John Grauke has been named medical director of the Sleep Center at St. Joseph Regional Medical Center in Lewiston, Idaho. Grauke has been the medical director of the Gritman Sleep Disorder Center in Moscow since 1997. He is board certified in Sleep Medicine and participates in research under the direction of Stanford and Johns Hopkins universities.

The Harley-Davidson Motor Company has awarded the Gold Bar and Shield Circle of Excellence to Lone Wolf Harley-Davidson. The award represents excellent customer service and satisfaction.
